A magician in marble
The sculptor Ingbert Brunk was born
in Danneberg, Germany, in1960 and studied at
Hochchule der Künste i Berlin (1980-85)
Since 25 yearsär he lives on Naxos
in the Cyclades, Greece.
There he finds his favourite material - marble.
Due to its properties, changes in colours and
nuances, marble from Naxos was highly
appreciated already in the antiquity.
Ingbert’s way of working up the hard material
and produce a lightness and transparency
as if by magic, is fascinating
