Ewert Karlsson – widely known under the signature EWK,
was an astonishing political cartoonist.
With accuracy, sharp observation senses,
and humour he has bequeathed us with
a magnificent portrait gallery of politicians and
influential people from around the World.
He was official cartoonist of the Stockholms-Tidningen
and the Aftonbladet newspapers, but was ubiquitously
published in the World press - among other in
The New York Times
With his commitment to environmental issues and
the then Third World, he was far ahead of his time.
EWK has won several international awards
in the political caricature genre.
His works have also been produced in several books.
Since 2009 an EWK museum houses inside the
Museum of Work in Norrköping.
