Ingela Johansson’s objects are encased in the their own world..
They receive a legitimate existence and importance.
The small things are perhaps chosen at random but they get
an authenticity and the viewer can recognize them as
personalitites through their characters and qualitites..
The painting is understated but there is a smoldering heat under
the surface. It stays with the viewer without disturbing or being
a burden – as an aesthetic experience and a reminder
of the things’ and our own ephemeral existence.
