G R E T A  G E R E L L  in Word and Picture

Greta Gerell’s  (1898 – 1982) sober exhibitions at the Gallery "Färg och Form" has

become etched into my memory. When I the other year read in the Royal Swedish

Library’s ”Krönikan” that her correspondence with the couple Gippius-Merezjkovskij

was subject to a research project in the US, I became curious about her even as person.

As a result of these researches STUDIO L² has the pleasure to present

an exhibition with the works of Greta Gerell and also publish a book*

With Greta’s own words about her life and art, growth at Östermalm, the artistic life in Paris, the

 meeting with Harriet Bosse....

STUDIO L² acknowledges Greta Gerell’s Foundation for a very active collaboration.
